Plot Mhako is a creative social enterprise, a qualified journalist and graphic designer. Aged 33.
Mhako is a youth and urban arts activist working to empower and educate the youth in Zimbabwe. He is the founder and projects director of Jibilika Dance Trust a nonprofit organisation that promotes youth culture for engagement and development founded in 2007 in Zimbabwe.
Plot’s organisation is empowering the voices of young people through innovative programming, multimedia activism, mentorship and volunteering in schools, communities and works on strategies and training to professionalize young upcoming artists.
His work includes community outreach, dance training and civic development in an effort to expose teens and youth to new opportunities and potential livelihoods. The organization focuses on positive life choices, especially with regard to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, drug abuse.
Recently his organization launched a community arts centre running sustainable and continuous outreach programs promoting arts and culture to and with young people with a developmental approach soaked into the communities surrounding the places.
In the past he has been editor for the Zimbabwean edition of Rootz Africa published from South Africa and contribute regularly to various arts journals with a special interest on the urban arts in Zimbabwe.
