Tim Marks is camera operator, director and photographer who has worked on a variety of programmes covering a range of different genres. A film and photographic graduate, Tim has a strong passion for the natural world and wants to increase his experience in wildlife film making. Tim has specialized in independent & natural history documentaries but he also has extensive traditional documentary style and multi camera productions.
Here is what he said about himself “By becoming skilled in film I want to combine my two passions so that I can use them to tell the African story, the African Way through the power of creative storytelling (whether filmmaking or photography) I aim to contribute towards preserving, conserving and restoring the world we live in and hope to inspire other people to do the same”.
“Being behind the camera makes me come alive, but its knowing when to capture the moment, both in stills and motion that can make or brake the story. Patience and Perseverance are the most important character traits that I need in order to capture that magic moment. Those traits will stand any aspiring wildlife cameraman or women/ photographer in good stead”
